Wave Whisperer

Read the buoy. Watch the water. Train your call.

Welcome to Wave Whisperer.
Here's how it's meant to be used.
The app reads the buoy. The call is yours.

The app does one thing.

It shows you what your buoy is reading right now, and keeps the readings worth remembering.
It doesn't forecast, rate, or decide. That part is yours.

Find your buoy.

Tap the number top-left and pick the station closest to where you surf. Odds are it's the one you've already been half-watching for years. Stick with it.

Read it before you go.

Height, period, direction, water temp. That's it. No forecast, no green light. Just what the ocean is doing right now.

Look again after.

The 24hr comparison shows what changed since yesterday. Recent Data shows the last day, half hour by half hour. That's how you connect the number to the session you just had.

Save the days worth remembering.

  • The camera button saves the buoy reading for the session you're about to surf. Name it what you saw: "shoulder high, perfect direction, really fun."
  • Star the one you want back. When your buoy reads the same again, CURRENT glows amber and shows the name. The buoy is telling you: today looks like that day.
  • Two all-time swells come pinned for scale: Hurricane Marie (2014) and June 09 2026.

The rest happens in the water.

Surf like you normally would, and watch. Was it bigger than the number suggested? Smaller? Which direction actually showed up at your spot?

Keep your own notes wherever you keep them: tide, wind, how it felt. Wave Whisperer holds the buoy side. Combine them to train your call.

Do that for a season and something clicks. You stop needing anyone else's call. You'll read the buoy, and know.
